How many of you thought that to enjoy backpacking or hiking you were stuck with boring, bland, freeze-dried meals? Well, I was one of those people until I decided to try to ramp things up and experiment and try new recipes.
Knowing how important nature is to my emotional wellbeing, I do everything I can to involve those that I love in outdoor activities. I want my family and friends to see the benefits that spending the day hanging in a hammock, backpacking, hunting, or fishing can offer them. The best way I know to do that is to take them along. That is why I started this adventure. I want to combine my love for the outdoors and merge it with my enjoyment of cooking for the people that I love.
Every spring in Oklahoma there is a short window when one of my favorite things to hunt comes available. The allusive prey I am speaking of is the morel mushroom.
